Time Pair Share: Have you ever been on a field trip? Have you ever gone somewhere new and fun? Tell your shoulder partner all about it!
Whole Group Conversation: (1) Let's take an imaginary field trip to the Movie Theater. How do we get ready? How do we get there? What do we see when we get there? What do we smell? What do we hear?
(2) How do we stay safe when we visit new places? What are some rules your family or your teacher has? (3) We can visit new places all over the world when we are on the internet! What kind of places would you like to visit on the internet?
Vocabulary:
Internet: an electronic system that connects billions of people using computers, phones, or other devices, and allows them to communicate with one another
online: connected to the Internet
website: a place you can visit on the Internet

We will be visiting websites that belong to real places, such as zoos and museums. These places may be distant from where we live, but we can visit them online.

What is the first rule of using the internet? Let's make sure we follow rules 2 and 3 on our trip - Only talk to people you know, and stick to places that are just right for you.
